ZIGGY’S BABIES ARE HERE
UPDATE ON MAMAS
October 23, 2013
Just thought I would let everyone know that Ziggy, Rikki, and Priscilla are due within the next week and each one of them is super lazy and fat this week….oh how I remember that feeling well just before my babies were born.  I so empathize with these gals….eat….sleep….eat some more….sleep….groan….roll over….can’t get comfortable….eat a little more….finally a comfortable spot to snooze…..LOL  They are so fun to watch and their little bodies are definitely getting ready to pop so babies should be here soon.  I love having a couple of litters close together as the moms do very well with each other.  Sometimes a mom may have too many and one may only have one or two so having them close helps with sharing some of the milk supply too.  Poms are so great that way and really love each other.  I have only had one that liked to “steal” the babies and claim them all to herself….she was quite the mom and we had to keep a close eye on her!  🙂
Hope you are all having a wonderful week….my sleepless nights will be here soon as I anticipate labor starting to get close. Stay tuned…..soon we shall have some newbies on the ground and they should be gorgeous!
A TEXAS AUTUMN
October 8, 2013
There is nothing more beautiful than a Texas Autumn. If you have never endured a Texas Summer, you won’t know what I am talking about….but trust me….it is gruelling! Those last few days in August and September always tempt me to be living someplace else…suffocating and how many 100+ days of heat can you endure?! But just when your body cannot take another single moment of that oppressive heat, suddenly there is a slight breeze in the air that feels like someone just turned on the air conditioner…ahhhhhh….so nice!
We don’t always have the magnificent color display of the leaves like so many of you do in other parts of the country, but you just can’t compete with our sunsets….like a Texas bonfire in the sky….incredible.
One of the few positive things about the fire that devasted our area 2 years ago is that now we no longer have trees blocking our view of the sunsets. Our swing (my favorite place to be in the evening) that hangs from our big oak tree just happened to be facing the perfect direction to see the sunset every night and we never even got to enjoy them until the trees were taken from us by the fire. Not to say I wouldn’t rather have my trees….but there is always something beautiful that emerges when things are taken away…in our case, it just happenes to be these incredulous sunsets.
As we sit out there in the evening, our pups seem to know the drill….they get lazy and roll in the grass and they seem to be winding down just as we are as we watch the sky light up and the sun go down. I love watching them….they seem to love each other so much and really enjoy each others company.
Well enough of my rambling….it is almost time for the sunset!
Our PG mamas are all doing well and starting to get fat!!
Just three weeks until the first litter should be born….oh dear…so much to do before then! LOL
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
OKAY…FINALLY POSTING :)
September 10, 2013
Okay….I have had soooo many inquiries about this that I am finally posting….
Yes…it is true….our darling little boy from one of our litters this summer, little “Benson” is now a member of Cesar Millan’s new pack! We are thrilled that he is getting to be with one of the greatest trainers in the U.S.!
You can follow him on these sites:

http://www.cesarsway.com
Or you can just google “BensonMillan”…there are some cute youtube videos that Cesar has posted.
We have had an incredible summer with some of the cutest and most adorable poms we have ever had….LOTS of work, but really a lot of fun too.
Most of our current babies have found homes, but we still have a few left waiting to see where their forever home will be. Once these are adopted I will be looking forward to some late October babies that may be ready to go right around Christmas time. I will be posting the new expecting litters soon….as soon as I am relatively sure that the breedings “took”.
We are greatly anticipating the first “cool” front this next week here in Texas….hope everyone is getting back on track for the new school year and had a fabulous summer!
