THANKSGIVING DAY

November 17, 2007
I can hardly believe Thanksgiving is almost here. I always love the holidays, but Thanksgiving is one of my favorites. We have always tried to make a point to remember all the things we have to be thankful for at this time every year. With a son in the Persion Gulf this Thanksgiving it puts a new perspective on life and the things we are grateful for. We are incredibly blessed here in America, even though at times we all struggle with various issues. I hope everyone takes the opportunity this week to do something kind or out of the ordinary for someone else.
We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and we will be counting our blessings as I hope you will be too.

FALL IS IN THE AIR

October 28, 2007
I know many of you have been experiencing Fall for a number of weeks now, but in Texas, we are just beginning to feel it. There is a dry coolness in the air in the morning and evenings that is so refreshing after months of heat and humidity. Our little dogs feel it too! They are so frisky and full of themselves….no more laying around trying not to expend energy in the heat of the day…they are running and romping and they are experiencing the same joy in being able to run and play without collapsing from the heat.
I just got back from spending a week in North Carolina, and the colors there were breathtaking….I so wish we experienced the change of seasons like that here in Texas, but for now we’ll just have to settle for a hint (a very small hint) of red/orange now and then before the leaves are gone. However, the cool breeze, the sight of beautiful hay bales, pumpkins and the first batch of tortilla soup for the season help us to rejoice and enjoy the change of seasons here. I hope you are all enjoying Fall this year and looking with anticipation on the upcoming holidays.
We still have three precious little babies looking for a forever home. Be sure to check our available page to see if you fall in love…..

EVERYONE IS SETTLING IN

Sept. 24, 2007
It was a very exciting and tiring weekend, but I think all the moms and babies are settling in nicely now. As the babies have dried out and moms have gotten them all clean, we have realized that the two pups that we thought were going to be blue are actually turning out to be black! Oh well, for those of you waiting on blues, we’ll just have to try again next time.
These little pups are all adorable and we will have all the pictures posted sometime this week.
Hope the Fall weather is making its approach to everyone…we gasp for every breath of cool air we can muster! Texas is always the last to really sense Fall, but wow do we appreciate it when it comes!
Don’t forget to call or email if you have any questions regarding our newest litters….

NEW PUPS ARE HERE

Sept. 22, 2007
Well Paradise surprised us yesterday with a beautiful little merle pup. We did not think her breeding had taken, but this little guy made his appearance. He is beautiful.
Heidi gave birth this morning to three beautiful puppies. Two males, one black with white markings, one chocolate, and one beautiful black female. I hope to have pictures posted by Monday. We are all exhausted! ….but glad moms and babies are doing well, and delighted with our little “surprise”!
