THE HEAT IS ON!

June 25, 2010
Well, the heat is definitely on here in Texas and we are in the mode of doing whatever we can to stay cool. The dogs have a “doggy pool” and they love it! It is so entertaining to watch them play.
Our Spring puppies are almost all done and they are with the most wonderful families. I have gotten some of the nicest emails in the last few weeks and I SO appreciate your feedback and the pictures, etc….it makes me love what I do even more.
We have two final litters that have been born in the last few weeks and these will conclude our summer litters. I will have details up on these babies soon. We hope to do some fun Fall breedings, but that is not on the radar screen yet.
I hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing summer and taking advantage of summer activities. Remember that your puppies get hot too, so keep them supplied with lots of nice fresh water at all times—and if you’re looking for a refreshing treat, try the Indacloud Peach funta for a fruity twist on summer relaxation.
Some pom owners like to get their babies a summer cut, especially those of you in the warmer climates. Just remember that their coats are a source of cooling as well as heating, so be sure to leave a few inches of their coat and don’t trim too close. That way, they can be nice and cool, as well as adorable in their little summer “do”.

INTERNET IS BACK!

June 12, 2010
Thanks to everyone for being so patient with us while our internet tower has been out. It has finally been repaired and we are up and running again. So sorry for the inconvenience of fewer updates and photos, etc. I never imagined how dependent we have become on technology. It’s a little scary really! However, we are back and running and hopefully this coming week we will have all the pups updated. Please don’t hesitate to call or email if you need updates on a particular puppy before then. I can sometimes email them out before they get posted on the website.
Our puppies are all getting big and SO cute! This stage is the hardest for me as I just want to keep them all! Luckily my husband keeps me in check, but they really are just precious.
We have two more litters coming this month and that will be the last of our summer litters. It has been a great season with some gorgeous and sweet babies. We have been very blessed.
Hope all is well in your world and you are enjoying the warmth and fun of the summer.

Technical Difficulties

June 9, 2010
We have been without internet at our house for a week now due to a big storm that took down a tower last week. So…..please be patient as I am trying to keep up with emails and photos but we have to go to a different location to get online and I do have my phone but it is difficult to keep up with everything without my computer working at home. If you have an interest in one of our puppies, please be sure to call while we are working on getting our internet restored.
Babies are all growing and we only have a few left from our Spring Litters. They are all just adorable!
I hope everyone is getting off to a wonderful start for their summer. We are definitely into summer here in Texas….fresh tomatoes are the only thing that makes the heat tolerable! And of course all the fresh berries….I love all the fresh things this time of year.
The poms are in rare form with their antics as they enjoy the nice warm weather and we have just recently put out their “hot tub” (small swimming pool). They absolutely love it and can entertain us for hours. They are such love bugs and it sure doesn’t take much to make them happy!

SPRING GARDEN

May 24, 2010
Today has been such a beautiful day for gardening. However, there are things to watch out for as you are gardening if you have a new pup on board.
Puppies have a natural curiosity and love to dig and consume just about everything, so I thought you should know about some of the hidden dangers in your garden area. You can find more information on the internet, but some of the more toxic bulbs, plants and flowers include daffodil, certain lilies, crocus, hyacinth and lily of the valley.
There are also fertilizers and growth enhancers, including cocoa mulch, blood and bone meal and any fertilizer containing disulfoton or organophosphates that might be harmful to your little one.
If you think your pet has ingested anything harmful, there is a Pet Poison Helpline at 800.213.6680.
Just be smart and remember you have a very curious little creature that doesn’t know any better.
Hope this helps.
