School is starting this week which signals the end of summer for most people. Here in Texas it is still blazing hot and we are longing for the first cool breeze of Autumn. The rains this year have made everything incredibly beautiful and lush…a delight to see at a time when normally dry, brown sticks would be the menu for our eyes. Our puppies feel it as well. They are content to come in to their little air conditioned home much sooner and take long naps in the nice cool air. The heat zaps their energy as much as mine and except for early morning and late evening, they are experiencing the last lazy days of summer.
Duke will be leaving for his new home in Vermont on Monday and we are all very jealous of him….we wish we were going too! LOL He will have quite a change in his environment, but he is ready! He has one of the fullest coats I have ever seen on a puppy…he must have known he was going to Vermont! We will miss him terribly, but hopefully we will continue to receive pictures as he matures. What a sweetheart.
Nutmeg left for Oklahoma yesterday and we will miss that little cuddlebug….he loves everyone…even the puppies will miss him!
We are so thankful he found his home and will be loved forever.
We only have three babies left and they are anxiously waiting to see who they will get to go home with. They are SO playful and full of energy….everything is new all the time! Even watching them makes you tired! LOL
If you are looking for a special companion, full of life, and ready to love…check out our available page. They are all just precious…it is hard to capture their personality and their sweet temperaments with a camera, but they are as fun and sweet as they are beautiful. Pomeranians truly are a special breed.
SUMMER IS OVER!
A BRAVE NEW WORLD
August 21, 2007
At some unidentifiable point in childhood, children gain a mind of their own and cease to be compliant little bodies to snuggle with and play…they wake up one day and decide, no! today is about me! LOL Well, puppies are much the same….it is so interesting to watch as they suddenly realize there is more to life than their secure little area…there is a whole big world out there and they want to explore! This becomes a challenge! LOL
At the same time we begin to realize that this time also signals the point that they are ready for their new family and home. This is bittersweet. Daisy has already left for her new home and reportedly doing great! The others will be close behind. Some are still hoping their new family will find them soon….if you are looking for lots of love and a companion for life, you will find it in a new puppy….. with so much energy and passion for discovery! Warning: You may need a few extra energy bars to keep up! LOL
DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
August 6, 2007
Wow! This summer is flying by….we have enjoyed so much rain in Texas…I can’t remember a summer this wet. I’ll take the wet over the heat anyday! LOL
Our sweet little Daisy was sold yesterday and we are so excited about where she is going. Thank you Pat for choosing to love her and allowing her to join your family. She will have another sweet pom to play with there as well.
Ginger is pending, waiting to see if she will be big enough to breed. Right now she is very tiny, so I am taking back ups in case the sale doesn’t go through. She must be charting to weigh at least 4 1/2 pounds as an adult before I can sell her with breeding rights…if you are interested in a tiny little lap baby companion, I would be happy to take your name as a back-up.
UPDATE AND CORRECTION :)
Leila’s babies are all beautiful and growing nicely…however, my daughter pointed out to me last Monday evening (as we calmed down and all babies were sleeping) that I had, in my excitement, mis-identified one of our babies. Leila actually had 3 boys and 1 girl, not 2 boys and 2 girls! oops! Anyway, the ones we thought might be brindles are most likely going to be cream sables I think…its so hard to tell at this age because Poms change coloring so rapidly! Anyway, I will have pics posted this weekend and you can judge for yourself. It will be exciting to see the coats change as they grow and get more hair. Keep checking back for updates! 🙂
