Well, Leila’s babies are finally here….it was a very long labor for her, but she has a beautiful litter of six little pomeranian puppies. She had three whites, one black with white tipped feet, and two cream sables. Two females, four males. We have been very blessed with males this year! “grin”
Many people prefer females, but truthfully, males are wonderful pets, especially if nuetered early. They are a lot less trouble and shed far less as well. Because they do not “blow” their coats as often as the females do, they usually end up being the prettier dogs. Still, there are those who really prefer one or the other for various reasons, but, you really can’t go wrong with a pom of any gender!
Mom and babies are doing great (much better than me! “grin”)
Leila is a very good mom, with strong maternal instincts and has large litters with lots of milk. This will be her last litter for awhile, as she needs some time to rest and play. These pups are all so cute….we will have pics posted soon.

Well, we are officially in the Dog Days of Summer here in Texas. We were hoping for some rain with this past Gulf Storm, but we didn’t get a drop! The heat has been almost unbearable this summer and we, as well as our dogs are anxious for some cool Fall days…
Leila is about to pop….she will be our last litter for this season and we are looking forward to it with great anitcipation. This is a first time breeding for this pair, so it is always fun to see what we will get. We are expecting whites, possibly blacks, and maybe some surprises! Leila is such a great mom and usually has pretty good sized litters.
Keep checking back…I will be posting progress of her delivery and babies.

Bella had a very easy delivery last night starting at 2:00 a.m. this morning. She delivered three precious GIRLS! Yeah! All of the puppies were here by 3:30. We were really hoping for some girls and they are so beautiful. It is really hard to tell colors sometimes this young, but she had one solid silvery cream and two sables….not sure yet if they will be orange or cream sables, but they both have a tiny bit of white on their chest and one has some white “feet” markings as well. Mom and babies seem to be doing great and we are so grateful. I will try to get pictures up as soon as I can. Now…back to bed for me!

Our adorable little man, Sean, has found a forever home. He will be living in New Jersey with Menna and we are very happy for him. With his incredibly thick coat he definitely needs to be somewhere up north! “grin” He is so affectionate and loving….I know he will steal the hearts of everyone there.

We are still waiting on Bella to start labor. She had a big temperature drop today, so we are hoping it might be tonight. I will post news of her litter as soon as she decides to have them!
