April 2, 2012
Finally 2012 is bringing us some girls! We have been heavy on the boys for the last year or so and now this year we have been blessed with so many beautiful girls! 🙂
Topaz surprised us with five new babies….a record for her, and I don’t even know where she kept them….I thought she was going to only have 2 or 3!
All of our girls from Topaz and Blossom are currently sold or pending, but we still have two very nice looking boys still available from Topaz. I will be updating photos this week.
Dani is expecting her litter any second….today is her actual due date, so we are totally “on the alert” and are very excited about her litter coming.
She was paired with Urbie for her very first litter and she produced some darling babies for us, so we are hopeful for the same this time.
She is very large and moving slow….hopefully they will be here today! I will keep you posted…..I know many of you are waiting to see what she will have.
We are like busy little bees around here….so fun!
GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS
BLOSSOM’S BABIES
March 19, 2012
Wow….Blossom’s babies are going fast….I’m not surprised, as they come from two of my most beautiful poms and these babies are just incredible.
We are so excited to be finding such great homes for them already and we know “Honey” will find her special home too.
Topaz is within a week of her due date now, so we are getting ready for the arrival of her pups too….so exciting!
This is a first time pairing for these two and we are expecting to have some gorgeous oranges and creams, but could have some blacks and even possibly a parti…..we’ll soon see! She is an awesome mom and loves her babies. She is not as huge as she was last time, so we are expecting a smaller litter. I’ll try to keep news of her progress on the website….I know several of you are excited and waiting to see what she will have.
I hope everyone is enjoying this windy March….it is so beautiful and refreshing here in Texas with all this rain…..so green! yeah!
Blossom’s Babies are Beautiful!
March 18, 2012
We were a little nervous this week when Blossom went into labor 5 days early, but she graced us with 4 of the prettiest babies! Each one is a different color and all are just so adorable. We really expected this litter to be special and indeed they are. We have posted their pictures on the “Available” page but it will be a couple of weeks before they start looking like little puppies….they are so tiny right now. All are doing well and thriving, mom included.
She had three beautiful girls (finally we are getting some girls! LOL)
Firstborn was a lovley orange sable, weighing in at 4 oz. Secondly, (what a surprise!) was a chocolate girl, weighing in at 3 1/2 oz. Thirdly, (we were on a roll here!) another GIRL, a beautiful cream this time. I thought she might be done, but much to our surprise, and after a bit of a rest, she gave birth to a gorgeous little black male, weighing in at 3 1/4 oz. She did absolutely great and we were so pleased since this was her first time and we were not sure how it would go. And we even had a house full of company for Spring Break and she didn’t seem bothered a bit! We are so proud of you Blossom! 🙂
Ahhhh…..SPRING!
March 5, 2012
I cannot tell you what the sight of gorgeous wildflowers waving and dancing in the sunlight does for my soul.
Last October after returning to my home after that horrendous wildfire here in Bastrop County, there was nothing but grey and black all around us. Even though, thankfully, our home remained in tact, the beautiful green forest around us was completely destroyed except for a portion on one side. Describing the scene is beyond my ability with words….just such an emptiness and lifelessness all around.
I knew in my heart that life would eventually return, but oh how sad to see things in that state…..so, of course I got right online and ordered wildflowers seeds, and I sowed them in November, and in December and then again in January.
Last month was so exciting as I began to see little bits of green emerging and this month the color has popped up like fireworks on the fourth of July! Oh….what a beautiful sight! ….especially in contrast to the burned forest and fallen trees all around. The combination of colors, shapes, and sizes is amazing and truly makes my heart sing….what an incredible Master Artist we have! 🙂
Everything is beginning to bloom early this year as we have had such a mild winter and the bees and birds are very busy all around us!
There is a special little “hop” even amongst all of our pomeranians…they are enjoying this warm sun and cool breeze as well. The black ones like to hang out wherever there is shade and nice cool grass, and the others just run wherever they can and chew on all the different textures of leaves and branches, and whatever else they can find to play with.
I hope you are all enjoying the beginnings of Spring too, wherever you are. There is nothing more exciting and beautiful than new life.
Speaking of “new life”, I have two new litters due the first part of March, so we are excitedly anticipating new babies which is always fun.
If you would like to be added to my updates/notification list, just send me an email and I will add you so you will be notified of new litters, etc. Happy Pre-Spring! 🙂
